Oats, native to Central Europe are an important cereal of the temperate zones. Jumbo oats are oat groats, rolled flat, partially precooked in steam. Use their creamy taste in a coarse porridge, bake into biscuits, flapjacks & crumbles or use raw in muesli.
Toast in oil & malt extract for 'granola'.
Cool, dry & hygienic; away from direct light & strong odours. Oats will readily take on taints if not stored correctly. Unsealed bags should be used within 5 weeks of opening.
